Overview
IQ Option started in 2013 and built its own platform from scratch. Besides fixed-time trades it offers digital options, where you pick a strike price and the payout scales with how far the price moves, plus CFDs on forex, stocks, crypto and ETFs.
Regulation
The group's EU company, IQ Option Europe Ltd, holds CySEC licence 247/14, but it cannot offer binary options to EU retail clients. Everyone outside Europe signs up with an offshore international entity that no financial regulator supervises; sources name it as registered in St Vincent and the Grenadines or, more recently, Sky Ladder LLC in Antigua and Barbuda, so check the legal page before you sign up. Brazil's CVM has an open sanction proceeding, Singapore's MAS has listed the brand on its Investor Alert List since 2017, and India's RBI includes it on its Alert List.
Regulator warnings on record
- CVM (Brazil): Stop order and sanction proceeding (settlement rejected March 2026)
- MAS (Singapore): Investor Alert List (since 2017)
- Reserve Bank of India: Alert List (19 Nov 2025)
Availability
Not available to residents of the US, Canada, Australia, the UK, the EEA (for binary products), Israel, Japan, Russia, Turkey and several other countries. The registration form checks your country, and the list changes over time.
Minimum deposit
USD 10, with the exact amount depending on the payment method.
Minimum trade
From USD 1 per trade. Digital options let you choose a strike, which changes both the payout and the probability of winning.
Assets
Currency pairs, stocks, cryptocurrencies, commodities, indices and ETFs. The asset list differs between the options and CFD sections.
Trading platform
The proprietary platform is the main reason people choose IQ Option. It has multi-chart layouts, a full set of indicators and the same interface in browser and desktop app.
Mobile app
Native apps for Android and iOS, both close to the desktop experience. App availability in a given store can depend on your region.
Deposits
Bank cards, e-wallets and local payment methods depending on the country. The account is held in USD or another major currency chosen at registration.
Withdrawals
Withdrawals require completed verification and usually return to the deposit method first. The broker states processing times in its help centre; your payment provider adds its own time on top.
Fees
The fee page lists an inactivity fee after 90 days without trading (widely reported at EUR 10 per month; confirm the current figure), overnight fees on CFD positions and spreads on CFDs. Options carry no commission, but the payout is below 100% of the stake.
Customer support
Live chat, email, phone lines in several countries and an extensive help centre.
Security
Two-factor authentication and standard encryption. As with all offshore entities, there is no investor compensation scheme for non-EU clients.
Registration
Sign up with email or a Google/Facebook account and you land in a demo with virtual funds. Real-money trading and withdrawals require ID and proof of address.

Verdict
IQ Option offers the best technology here and the most mature apps. Keep in mind which entity you are dealing with: outside Europe, it is an unregulated company, and the brand is under sanction proceedings in Brazil. Good for platform quality, weak on protection.
